New for Winter 2012

We’re at your service! Our focus has always been on sourcing great jobs for students like you and connecting you with relevant career advice when you need it.

We’re taking service a step farther starting January. We’ve simplified who to call for advice and expanded the services you can access through the Centre for Career Action. Don’t worry – the employment process hasn't changed.

>> Your student advisor will be your main contact during your work term. This person will check in with you and your supervisor during the co-op work term to ensure a successful experience for both of you. Contact them when you have questions about the co-op process ― whether you’re on the job or on campus. Your student advisor’s email and phone number are available in the CECS contact field on your profile in JobMine.

>> A career advisor will be your key point of contact to:

  • Help you fit together skills to land your first job if you are going into your first work term.
  • Sign off a job (drop in appointments available).
  • Assist you with questions about the co-op process if you have not yet had a work term.

Any time you want to explore your career options take your next step and book an appointment online at careeraction.uwaterloo.ca. We look forward to serving your co-op and career advising needs better than ever in 2012!

New from Fall 2011

Additional Interview Call Centre

More employers are requesting webcam and phone interviews. To accommodate the increase, another call centre has been set up on the lower level of TC. You won’t be paged for these interviews. Check in directly with the attendant at the bottom of the central staircase. “Instructions” on your Interview page in JobMine will tell you if your interview is webcam and “Type” if it is phone.
