Enterprise Co-op Initiative
Innovators wanted
PAVE YOUR OWN PATH WITH ENTERPRISE CO-OP!
Start your own business
CBET’s Enterprise Co-op Initiative (E Co-op), in collaboration with our 10 Academic Departments as partners offers inspired, innovative, entrepreneurial uWaterloo students an amazing way to start their own business. Some may choose to launch or run their venture on a co-op work term. Others just want advice from the business consultants who support the E Co-op Initiative.
We are collaborating with 10 uWaterloo academic departments to tailor E Co-op to the needs of their students.
Within E Co-op students learn by doing, as they develop their business plan including their entry strategy & tactics, and a launch action plan. They also build a start-up team and develop a support network of advisors.
Take your next steps
If you’re a committed, self-motivated student, determined to plan a more independent future for yourself, E Co-op may be right for you! The Six Steps of Enterprise Co-op
Earn a co-op credit
An approved, full-time, E Co-op work-term is also eligible for co-op credit! As long as you have a Personal Action & Learning plan, agree to work with an experienced business mentor and your venture satisfies the criteria required by your program or faculty, as a co-op student. Approved E Co-op students may qualify for financial assistance through our ongoing CBET Business Plan Competitions, though funding is not guaranteed.
