If You Have Found An International Job On Your Own

Your next steps:

1. Follow instructions at the arranging own job page

2. Confirm The Following With Your Employer
  • What are the start and end dates of the work term at your company
  • What salary is being offered
  • Clarify information regarding relocation costs such as visa fees, flights/travel costs, accommodation - who will pay for these and who will arrange these

3. Health Insurance

You must have health insurance coverage for the entire time you are outside of Canada. Find out more about the FEDS Health and Dental Plan.

4. Work Permit

You will need a work permit to be employed in a country other than Canada unless you possess a passport for that country. Please submit a copy of this work permit/visa by hand, by fax, or scan it and send it electronically to Cathy Stein if you are working in the USA, or to Sandra Shantz if you are working anywhere outside of North America
