Career Development eManual
Are you concerned about the future? Are you unsure how to start your career? Do you need to make changes in your direction? Are you concerned about finding stable and secure work? The Career Development eManual is designed to help you consider these questions and many, many more!
Centre for Career Action
the Centre for Career Action's mission is to educate and motivate all Waterloo students (regular and co-op) and alumni to develop and take action to achieve current and future career goals. We accomplish this through high quality in-person and online services in partnership with students, alumni, employers, faculty and staff.
WatPD
The Professional Development program (WatPD) expands on the experiential learning experience of Waterloo's co-op students with online courses for academic credit. The courses will provide students with the opportunity to develop skills to improve their employability and their workplace productivity. In addition, these courses will provide opportunities for students to reflect on connections between the workplace, their academic courses and their career path.
WatPD-Engineering
Waterloo Engineering, in partnership with WatPD, offers an innovative, second generation, online professional development program for engineering students. The program provides engaging and relevant courses which are taken during the co-op work term for academic credit. These courses enable students to improve their employability, while encouraging critical reflection and growth of academic and professional skills within the context of the engineering workplace.
Enterprise Co-op
Enterprise Co-op offers business start-up advice and referral services to enterprising undergraduate students. We also have some matching funding awards* to assist a select group of qualified, enterprising undergraduate students to work toward launching their own venture, full time, on a Summer term, or a co-op work term, rather than work for someone else.
